Out of curiosity, how many swords from the 2500 piece run are left?

Yay! So it appears I am one of the few who got the April discount. And I got a great number, which, incidentally suggests to me how many were sold until now.

Anyway, I love my Longclaw, it’s very nice, but I have some constructive criticism to make that should be in time for the eventual Ice design.

When I picked up Longclaw, I was slightly disappointed with how unbalanced it was. I know this is a replica intended for wall display but still, I find it nice when I pick a sword up if it’s possible at least to wave it around just for the heck of it. The hilt is realtively short for two-handed grip, the blade is wide, and with those characteristics I would have expected a heavier pommel. The point of balance is several inched from the crossguard.
I own a real medieval martial arts practice “bastard” sword and have used some from different makers, and they usually spin easily in the hand with a heavy hilt and pommel compared to the blade. Of course I don’texpect the same from a wall-hanger. But still, even my LOTR official replicas are closer to the real thing.

So I am making this comment to suggest that Ice’s “Cool factor” would be increased if attention was paid to improved balance, a heavier pommel compared to the blade. Thank you for reading and considering this!
