We’ve been posting updates in a variety of places such as Facebook, or in comments to older posts here as people ask questions, but it has been awhile since we’ve done an actual update post. So, here it is.

Ice will start shipping by the end of July, barring tsunamis, earthquakes, and union strikes in the shipping industry.

The remainder of the Damascus Longclaws will go out at the same time.

For all customers who have ordered these products, if you’ve moved since you placed your order, please make sure we have your correct address.

We continue to work on King Robert’s Warhammer. We don’t know when preordering will open on this item. Maybe August.

After the warhammer, we don’t know what we will make. Items being considered include Oathkeeper, Tyrion’s dagger, Khal Drogo’s Arakh, and/or a Night’s Watch “dragonglass” obsidian dagger.

We’re also investigating the production of a Damascus Ice. GRRM has not signed off on this yet though, and if we do make it, it will likely not be out until 2013 (if our experience with the Damascus Longclaw is any guide). It will probably cost $700 assuming there is no major inflation or currency upheavals in the next two years, which could change things. But again, not confirmed yet.

Yes I agree with Chad – Oathkeeper – really want a Lannister sword

As someone who purchased and loves his Damascus Longclaw I am very excited about the prospect of Damascus Ice. And I’ve also always been interested in your take on the design of an arakh. Keep up the great work!

This is just an idea, but I think a 2-sword set of the swords that were given to Jaime Lannister (Oathkeeper) and Joffrey Baratheon by Tywin Lannister would be an excellent consideration. As all of you know, these are the two swords that were created when Tywin had Ice melted down.

So far, I have Longclaw and Needle and have pre-ordered Ice. Unfortunately, I do not have the Damascus Longclaw, however, if depending on the size of Ice, I may buy it. I do plan on ordering the Warhammer as soon as it’s available for pre-order.

Thanks for the great products! I look forward to everything your company makes!

I’m in for the damascus ice, just let me know when orders open.

The daggers might be a cool smaller alternative to the larger swords and warhammer. Mix it up a little for those without as much display space.

Hey, not sure about the rules on linking to images or if embedding images is allowed. But I own an obsidian knife. I don’t know how you perceive the dragonglass daggers but I envisioned this.

if that didn’t work here is a link to the picture. http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a199/n10city/RainbowObsidian.jpg

If I have violated any rules I apologize and will not make an issue out of this post being removed.

I know I was looking forward to seeing Blackfyre. The lost sword of the Targaryens. Perhaps even taking a note from the poster above and having a duo set with Dark Sister as well.

After watching the game of thrones series I’d love “Khal Drogo’s Arakh” to hang on my wall along with Needle, Longclaw, Ice & Roberts Hammer.

I like the idea of a sword set of the Lannister blades made from Ice.

  13. I’d like to put in a vote for you to do Oathkeeper, that is the one sword I have been dying for you to make since I first found the website. Also, I would definitely buy a Damascus Ice. I am still waiting for my Longclaw, but I’ve been holding off on ordering a regular Ice in the hope that you’d make a Damascus version.

Thanks guys, keep up the good work!

  14. Great news about Ice. I’m trying not to get too excited, because I know there’s a battle coming with the customs, which will take hours for sure (and hopefully not too much money).

I’d definitely consider buying a dagger. If it’s going to be as beautiful as the HBO version that will surely be worth waiting for. Damascus preferably (no point in doing two versions there). Also, daggers are easier to make and ship. And cheaper – for the moment I don’t think I can afford another sword for some time.

  17. Khal Drogo’s Arakh is at the top of my wish list…

I’m not sure this is the right place, but I don’t know anywhere else to post it.

I’ve seen on the french website http://www.lagardedenuit.com (which is very serious about A Song Of Ice And Fire), that the cover of the oncoming comic book adaptation will be that :
    http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/260577_245283735497587_219513958074565_1030804_3951496_n.jpg

You will recognize your design of Ice.
I just wanted to point this out to you, since I love your design of the sword, and I’d like it to be the reference design for Ice. It’s a shame the tv show doesn’t use it.

  19. Hey, thanks for pointing that out, we hadn’t seen that. And yes, with these being the “official” designs they will pop up in more places. GRRM cares a lot about consistency.

I really wish there was a Damascus Ice right now but I’m not waiting until 2013 so I settled for just getting my hands on Vanilla Ice, Ice baby. LOL

  21. Yeah, Dawn!

  22. Rex Regi Rebellis on July 9, 2011 at 12:47 am said:

See? There’s more that want Dawn!

    Or what about Light Bringer?

  23. Dawn >>>>>>>>>>>> Lightbringer

And isn’t Lightbringer a made up sword?

Although, I think Dawn is supposed to be a white sword so I’m not sure how that would be made.

  24. Yes, Dawn is white.

My only thought is do a titanium plating and then oxidize it to make it white (titanium oxide is white – it is the pigment used in a lot of white paints).

  25. Titanium plating sounds kind of pricey and hard to do.

  26. Hard to impossible, which is why we aren’t too keen on Ice.

  27. Can you just powdercoat it? Or would that look cruddy?

  28. we could, but thus far GRRM has not liked paints or powder coats for blades (hence.. no stainless oathkeeper).

  29. Well I hope you guys do decide to do Dawn because it seems to be the most unique sword in the series, being that it’s made from meteor rock and was the sword of one of the most legendary knights ever. Kind of like Homer Simpsons lightning bat.

I’m confident that if you do decide to make Dawn it will turn out well and I’ll be buying it.

Dark Sister or Blackfyre would own too!

How about some others like Vicery’s sword, and Jaime’s sword and dagger combo. I love those weapons because they have a nice design and yet are still realistic.

9 months of waiting and I still haven’t lost hope. I could care less if it takes another couple of months (I really don’t want that though) to get Ice if it means getting the quality that these blades deserve! I’ll be in Mexico for the remainder of the month so hopefully it’s there when I return!

  34. Kevin Murphy on July 15, 2011 at 1:33 pm said:

Yea you guys should def do oathkeeper

  35. His Jaime’s sword doable? I thought it was covered in gold?

  36. No, it isn’t doable. We can’t economically make a gold sword, even plated. You could use a gold paint, but that is about it. We’ve looked into it before and it just wouldn’t be feasible.

  37. Seven on July 24, 2011 at 2:12 am said:

But the chances of you producing a Damascus Ice are good, right?

  38. I would say so, the better question is when will it be released. It took 2 years to make the Damascus Longclaw.

  39. i am on the third book so i am not completely informed on jaimes sword but isn’t oathkeeper the red infused valyrian steel sword made from ice with a gold lion pommel? is that feasible?

  40. Buckanear Bill on August 12, 2011 at 8:57 am said:

I’m voting for the dragon glass dagger.

  41. Add another vote for Oathkeeper. I’ve got money int he bank and check back every month or two hoping for that update.

  42. Fin on May 8, 2014 at 9:06 am said:

Jaime lannister season 4 oathkeeper the design of the gold perfectly matches the valyrian steel (damascus steel) so pls create oathkeeper
