Will there be any chance you will be producing jaymes sword ?
    Or scabbards for this one

  2. We may make Jaime’s sword. We also may work on a scabbard for Robb’s

  3. Any plans on doing HBO versions of Ice and/or Longclaw?

  4. Tim Fredrickson on January 7, 2013 at 4:29 pm said:

    Dear VS:
Frankly, I wish that your version of the Longclaw (I have the one of the 200 of the Damascus edition) would have been a closer replica of the sword used on the mini-series. Your Longclaw is wider than what is shown on HBO.
Still it is a nice piece.

  5. Of course it is, our book Longclaw was designed in 2006 and 2007, long before the show was ever on the air, its a book replica. We’re making a show Longclaw, and it will look exactly like the prop.

  6. First off, ppl love complaining and its getting tiring. I for one am very impressed with the 3 products you have recently released. The catspaw blade is beautiful and what really makes it is the gorgeous pattern. I love Robbs sword. Simple elegant classy! Nice job on the carbon steel too and full tang. You guys listen to all the input from the fans here on your site and you’ve made some awesome products. Thanks for keeping it limited edition as well.

I can’t wait for the show version of Longclaw. Especially since the book one is sold out. Any idea when that will be available for preorder? Thanks and keep up the great work. These pieces are simply amazing.

Will there be a Damascus version of Robs sword? I’d love to see a Scabbard for these as well. Can’t wait for HBO version of Longclaw, missed out on the first one by 3 months :(

  9. There will not be a damascus version of Robb’s though we’re working on a scabbard.

Longclaw will likely be available for preorder before the 3rd season premier. Possibly well before it.

  10. Christian on January 7, 2013 at 7:31 pm said:

Thank you! Again can’t wait. You can have my credit card info now! I don’t need to see a picture or anything!

  11. Hi, would you ever consider making Stannis’ sword or Loras Tyrell’s?

  12. Yes, but we are doing Loras’ helm right now. So you’ll get something Loras.

  13. Hey guys, great work on all of the products so far! Just wondering if you guys would ever consider doing a Dothraki Arakh? Preferably one based off of, or similar to, Mago’s from the first season. Really unique weapon that is a definite must have for fans like myself. Cheers again!

  14. Yes, we are going to do an arakh, though the one we plan on doing has a naked woman on the hilt.

  15. Tom Oliver on January 8, 2013 at 6:45 pm said:

Impressive think I’ll get this over catspaw, also nice to know the HBO longclaw will be announced soon. And how far along are you guys on oathkeeper?

I am Super Excited for the Longclaw show version, been looking at Robbs sword but did not see PLAQUES, will the Show Longclaw come with a wall mount plaque???

  17. All our swords will come with wall plaques.

  18. William on January 9, 2013 at 3:30 pm said:

I am wondering what you are making next (and scabbards are being made for the new swords).
Also are you considering making clothing such as the cloaks or Jaime’s jacket?

  19. We’re working on scabbards yes, but sorry no, our license does not allow us to make clothing.

  20. William on January 9, 2013 at 4:39 pm said:

Sorry to ask another question so quick but are you making shields? And if so what kind?!

  21. Yes, a full steel stark shield will be out first.

  22. Will you be making the show’s version of Needle?

  23. Probably eventually.

  24. Norman on January 9, 2013 at 9:08 pm said:

Any chance that arakh with the naked lady is coming paired with a myrish stilleto?

  25. Of course. Why limit yourself to one naked lady when you can have two?

  26. GREAT response.

  27. so if i am the first one to order the sword on sunday, then i will get #1 or is it randomly assigned?

  28. #1 yosef. We always make sure the earliest orderers get their deserved low numbers.

  29. Alright, Valyrian, I know we have had our differences in other threads but you were right about one thing. I love this sword. It is simple, but with the functional sexy elegance!

Full tang? High Carbon? Solid hilt? Yes, yes, and yes! I knew you guys could pull off a higher quality steel and still keep costs down!

Alight, so I have one question. I want one of two specific numbers, can I request them? One is low, but the other is just a random favorite number.

  30. If you get a low order you can request a low number. Higher numbers aren’t always available right away, you can request one, but you may end up waiting a bit while we locate it.

  31. Okay excellent. I don’t mind waiting for #427 :D

Excellent job on the sword. I really mean it. I know I was a hard ass about functionality, but you guys really listened. I have a whole new respect for you!

  32. Great looking weapons! One question, are they sharpened? If not, can they be sharpened without ruining the detailing?

  33. just ordered :). hopefully i got #1. i was refreshing the page every 5 seconds at 9am. (crossing my fingers)

  34. Is there any way to tell what number we got?

  35. Pre-ordered. I put in the delivery notes my special request for my edition number. Do I need to send a separate email or should that work?

    Thank you,

  36. That should work Revan.

You can ask Colin, I just checked there is a Colin in 8th, but his email address doesn’t match yours, but that is the only Colin who placed an order.

  37. Any chance I can find out the number I got?

  38. Oh perfect my account email is different thanks!

  39. You’re right after Colin Yosef.

  40. darn so i missed #1. well #9 is actually one of my fav numbers lol.

  41. Thank you Valyrian! I cannot wait for my releases. Between this and the Hobbit, I am officially going to be broke!

  42. D. Will Ohmes on January 15, 2013 at 1:08 pm said:

Any chance you can tell me how many Catspaw and Robb Stark swords have been pre-ordered? I have to wait a bit before I can put the money down.

  43. They aren’t going to sell out with preorders.

  44. How much would the scabbard for Robb’s sword cost? I need to know how much money to keep hold of :)

  45. It’ll probably be high 100s, to 200. It’ll include his belt with the metal bits on it too.

  46. OoO, belt and scabbard? Definitely excited now.

  47. What’s the plaque sigil look like and will it be same size as the ones with ice and longclaw? So spring 2013 means these ship by April?

  48. Plaque picture should be coming soon.

Technically Spring ends like June 21st, but we sure hope to have them out in April.

  49. Sounds good. On an another hows the oathkeeper sword coming along,if at all. Last I heard was it is Damascus with the red and black ripples but that was over a year ago. I’m always curious to hear the detail info about things since you have such a vast knowledge of wweaponary I’m general. Aside this, anything that you are excited about that’s coming out or is already out?

  50. William on January 21, 2013 at 5:14 pm said:

When is the HBO Ice coming out. And are you planning on making The Mountain’s Greatsword or the Hound’s sword? And i thought making Dawn of house Dayne would be cool. Just putting in some input. Also are scabbards going to be made for Ice ect?

  51. William on January 21, 2013 at 6:33 pm said:

Also when is Longclaw coming out? And will it come with scabbard and swordbelt

  52. Right now we don’t plan to make that list you posted William. Ice and Longclaw are both coming out though. We hope to have them in your hands this summer. Longclaw will have a scabbard and belt sold separately, Ice will not.

  53. William on January 22, 2013 at 11:05 am said:

When do you think Longclaw will be out and ready for pre order? And if you can give me an estimate on the price, and if the scabbard will come with it?

Thank you for you’re time you guys are great!

  54. William on January 22, 2013 at 1:59 pm said:

Oh sorry I ready it so quickly I didn’t see the sold separately but I would like to know how much it is.

Sorry just really exited and I love scabbards.

  55. We don’t have pricing yet, but it will not be cheap. It is the scabbard and the belt and there are a lot of custom metal fittings. It’ll probably be between $150 and $200 (just for the scabbard).

  56. Well I have to say I do prefer the plaques that came w ice and longclaw. This one just looks a bit small :(

  57. Will Ohmes on January 25, 2013 at 4:59 am said:

    Hi Valyrian Steel,
I just had a few questions about the eventual release of a few related products.
When will the Robb Stark scabbard sold?
Will there be a Damascus steel model of the HBO Ice and Longclaw? If so, when will they be released relative to the normal models?
Also, will normal Longclaw and Ice be made of stainless steel or high carbon steel?

  58. Will Ohmes on January 25, 2013 at 5:10 am said:

    Sorry forgot two more questons.
Any estimate on the Stark Infantry Shield release?
Do you know of any third party scabbards that would fit Needle?
Thank you again, I love your work and your customer service is phenomenal.

  59. Lets see… Yes we want to do Robb’s scabbard, yes there will be damascus editions of both Longclaw and Ice. With Longclaw it’ll probably be out around the same time, with Ice the damascus will be some months after the standard. Normal Ice will be high carbon, normal Longclaw will be stainless. Stark shield release will be soon. We are working on a scabbard for Needle.

  60. Will Ohmes on January 25, 2013 at 11:37 am said:

Ouch, I just felt my wallet cringe. Thanks!

  61. Any estimates on the price for ice carbon and longclaw damasacus?

  62. Probably $300 and $600

  63. Oh cool! Definitely excited now. At least I can get one of them.

  64. Will Ohmes on January 25, 2013 at 9:32 pm said:

How many Damascus Ice and Long claws will be made and sold?

  65. My guess is 250 pieces of each considering the price and that Damascus book ice was 250 pieces.

  66. Any plans to Daenyrs’s Unsullied owner whip?

  67. We’ve thought about it.

  68. Amongst all the swords, scabbards, daggers and shields I was wondering if you had any intention of making some replica wildfire?

  69. That could be neat, our license is limited to weapons and armor, is that a weapon? Perhaps. A glass jar with something green in it? Probably not though.

  70. Im curious as to why none of the weapons come sharpened? Or offered to be sharpened.

  71. Terms of the license, HBO doesn’t want to put out anything sharp.

  72. Oh I see. Any chance u guys can sharpen one and videotape chopping things up like the one you did with the warhammer?

  73. Will Ohmes on January 28, 2013 at 3:39 am said:

Since Robb Stark’s Sword is the only full tang sword, can you describe the tang on your other products. Primarily Needle, Longclaw (upcoming model), and Ice (upcoming model)?

  74. Ice will also be full tang, the others about 3/4 tang.

  75. William on January 28, 2013 at 11:14 am said:

Is there any chance of getting Robb’s Armour? And I know your making a Stark shield so when will that be ready to order? And lastly if I ordered Robb’s sword when would it ship

  76. William on January 28, 2013 at 12:45 pm said:

Also would you think about making matching Dagger with the sword belt?

  77. It is safe to say that other than a scabbard, nothing else of Robb’s will be made.

We don’t have set dates yet on either the shield or the sword.

  78. William on January 28, 2013 at 6:32 pm said:

Okay well thank you also will the shield be wearable ? And just one idea that I think would be awesome! CROWNS! Robb’s crown Stannis’s Renly’s Joffery’s!! it’d be great.

  79. Thaigaryen on January 28, 2013 at 10:03 pm said:

William, that would be great but I don’t think we’ll see it. As Valyrian Steel mentioned earlier, their license limits them to making only weapons and armor.

  80. The shield is exactly like the prop so it that respect it has a leather strap on the back side for slinging over your shoulder.

  81. Will Ohmes on January 30, 2013 at 1:08 am said:

Since all your products are not sharpened due to legal reason, what materials would you recommend if we wished to sharpen it ourselves. Or you even allowed to tell us?

  82. Hi VS. If I had the money I’d buy everything you make but sadly I have to pick. I pre-ordered the helm and I really want the Stark shield. It’s going to look like the prop so I’m very happy with that. I’m sorry to be whiney after the recent release of brilliant stuff but when will we see the book Oathkeeper? I know this one needs to be Damascus because of the red and black pattern. It’s just I’m very tempted to splash out on Rob’s sword as well but I need to think about the budget because Oathkeeper will be exspensive (not that I’m complaining mind you because I think it’ll really be something!) I think you said somewhere that it will be at least a year before Oathkeeper is released after concept art is approved. Am I then safe to say it’ll go up for pre-order in 2014? Thanks a lot and keep up the good work. I’m a big fan

  83. I think that realistically Oathkeeper will be here possibly as late as early 2014, it could be very late 2013, but no sooner than that.

Preorders would likely open no earlier than early fall/late summer.

  84. Will Ohmes on February 8, 2013 at 3:32 am said:

    Hi Valryian Steel,
I just pre-ordered the sword under my full name Daniel Ohmes (I go by Will). What # am I? Also when do you predict Robb Stark’s sword will ship? Any update on the scabbard?

  85. Is ice carbon and longclaw stainless limited to 2500 each? Also why do longclaw in stainless instead of carbon?

  86. No, both those swords will be unlimited. Longclaw will not be full tang so it makes no sense to give it the high carbon steel treatment.

  87. So you promis that I can buy the show version of ice during late -13 / early -14 or 2020? As poor man I can’t buy all and would love to buy some of these items wich are resently available but I’m afraid of loosing ice. You know I will come haunt you if I don’t get my ice when I have money.

  88. Yes, you can buy it late 2013 or early 2014. I can’t make any promises about 2020, 7 years away.

  89. Is jaymes sword in the works?

  90. If your making Oathkeeper, does that mean there will a a Widows’ Wail?

  91. Hi,

If you were to produce Stannis’ sword, would it be:

    1) Stainless or Carbon steel
    2) limited or open edition

I’d like to see the scabbard for it as well but I’d still be happy with just the sword

  92. The Reaver on March 11, 2013 at 7:25 am said:

Will the scabbards be unlimited like the Stark shield? Also wondering if there is any plans to do Victarions Kraken helm. I was wondering about the naked ladies, super excited about that!

  93. Yes, though, that doesn’t mean we will make a lot of them.

  94. Will on April 5, 2013 at 1:46 am said:

Any plans do make the three weapons Khal Drogo recieved on his wedding day?

  95. yes we want to do his wedding gift arakh from dany

  96. Whip and Dragonbone bow?

  97. Hi, i ordered one of these swords and was wondering if there was any more solid a date for when they will be shipping? thanks

a shop here in germany told me that they have the Robb Stark sword available for sale in the first may week.

Hello VS. just wondering if Damascus longclaw hbo version is still in the works and if so will it be full tang? Will getting it sharpened ruin the sword or is it safe? Thx

  107. Nicholas on June 20, 2013 at 12:49 am said:

I love this sword and have purchased it, so I don’t want anyone to think I’m complaining. And I will preface my question by saying I prefer the aesthetic you went with, but every screen reference I can find of Robb’s sword, the hilt appears steel rather than brass. I’m just wondering why you went with the brass finish.

  108. Its lighting Nicholas, the prop we had in house here and it is actually brass, its just some of the camera filters or lighting they use on Robb’s scenes makes it look grey.

  109. Nicholas on June 20, 2013 at 2:03 pm said:

Cool. Thank you so much for your quick response. I’m sure this sword won’t be my last purchase from Valyrian Steel.
