Damascus Longclaw on Sale
IMPORTANT INFORMATION, PLEASE READ
This is a preorder, you’re putting a deposit down to secure your place in line, the sword will not ship to you until 2010. You can get a refund at any time up until when it ships, but you will lose your place in line.
We are going to make either 100 or 250 of these, depending on interest as seen in the next week or two. If there is the demand, we’ll make 250, if not, we’ll make 100. We’ll let you know when we decide.
We will be giving numbers based on purchase order. The first person who orders gets number 2, the second person gets number 3, etc. The #1 sword is going up on an auction. I highly recommend buying the sword through our site prior to bidding in the auction, in case you do not win the auction you will still get a sword. If you are the auction winner we can always cancel your original order.
We’ve also put up the original Longclaw, #1, up on auction, if you’re interested. We found it in the massive pile of boxes that is our Longclaw inventory and decided this was the best way to get it out.

Is there a way to find out which # we have? I might be more likely to bid on the auction if I’m #50 than if I’m #2.

You’re first Jacques, we’ll do our best to update people on current numbers as time goes. We haven’t yet sent out an email to our list or anything so most people, unless they were checking the site, probably don’t know it is open yet.

Wow, that was sooner than i expected, i wont be able to place my order until end of November, hope that wont be to late. Will size/weight of the package differ from the first longclaw, just to check is my postal service able to receive it?

It would have been nice to have some advance warning of when ordering would open…you know…Preorders start tomorrow at 11am Eastern…not really fair to those of us who work 12 hour shifts. Sigh…which did I get?

OK, you are probably getting sick and tired of people harping about the pommel. With that said… the newer pictures that are posted look much better as if the pommel was indeed antiqued slightly.Is this the case, or am I imagining things?
Regardless, I’ll probably place an order soon, seeing as It just dawned on me that I can antique it myself, if I’m gonna be that fussy about it

I’d love to, but I most definitely do not have $600 at the moment. Once things pick back up and I can finally get a job, I’ll be putting a good bit of my paycheck aside, but until then, I cannot preorder.

Perhaps a list should be put up somewhere that has the list of who has what number. Something like one of:
FirstName LastInitial
FirstName City
FirstName Date / Time of Order
Initials City
Initials Date / Time of Order
Or something similar. That way people stop asking.

Well about 20 of you have preordered at this point, far less than the amount who commented on the initial post saying you were interested. In anycase, it is looking more like it’ll be 100, and not 250.

Thanks Alberto and sorry Kurt. As an avid collector of all things “A Song of Ice and Fire”, I was intensely committed to acquiring this magnum opus… even if it required booking a day off work to impatiently sit by the computer. Perhaps you will have better luck with the Damascus version of “Ice”… or maybe not.

Is there a set date for shipping these yet? I want to order one up, but not until I know when it will be recieved. Am i understanding this right? you wont be shipping until all 100 swords are pre-sold? Is it possible to display anymore pics of the damascus blade.
