Serendipitously a matching regular Longclaw case has surfaced for the Damascus Ice case we’ve got on top. This means we have 3 matching sets available. 106, 107, and 108. So the next 3 people to order both regular Longclaw and Damascus Ice will get a matching set. This is not something we can normally do, very rare for this to happen. If you ordered one or the other this weekend (meaning it hasn’t shipped yet) and would rather have a matching set, order the other part of it and message us that you want the set. Just the first three who do it get the set of course, because we only have the three.

Happy New Year everyone. To celebrate we’re dropping the price on Needle $20 to $170. This will be a permanent price drop.

The Night’s Watch Obsidian Dagger Set (aka beyond the wall survival kit) will be going on sale sometime in the next month. Stay tuned for more details on that.

All Damascus Ice preorders have shipped, some (about 5) haven’t been picked up yet, but they’ll be picked up Monday. So it is now in stock and ready to ship for any new orders. For those who have already ordered, you should be seeing activity on your tracking numbers.

This weekend is the last weekend you can order and still get delivery by Christmas for regular ground shipping, after Monday people out west will need to pay expedited shipping, after Tuesday people in the south or east will need to, and after Wednesday everyone will (the midwest being the last area). You can call us or email to get expedited shipping quotes.

Finally, if you did order Damascus Ice, please be careful when it arrives. The blade is coated with a protective oil, which will stain your clothes and the blade’s grip if you got it on there. The very first thing you should do is remove the excess oil from the blade with a rag.

EW has broken the news that the first season of Game of Thrones will be available on DVD March 6th 2012. You can preorder it now on Amazon.com.

The Damascus Ice shipment has finally cleared customs. We expect to start shipping them to customers a week from today. It should make it to everyone worldwide in time for Christmas, barring any further delays or circumstances (storms, strikes, really slow customs people, etc). These are still available for purchase, by the way, it has not yet sold out.

Finally, GRRM has given final approval on the Night’s Watch Dragonglass Dagger prototype. Picture is below:

This is a “north of the wall survival kit” set that includes the dagger (which is hand made in the US of real obsidian), a leather sheath, a belt pouch, 5 obsidian arrowheads, certificate of authenticity, and one or two surprises. All will be enclosed in a wooden box. It will sell for between $200 and $250 and be a limited edition of 2500. It should be out in January, preorders will start in a couple weeks.

Christmas this year is on a Sunday, which makes the last day for some deliveries Friday the 23rd. International orders may still get Christmas delivery ordering as late as the 9th, but it is pushing it. Domestic orders for regular ground shipping should order by the 18th, possibly 17th if you’re way far from the Midwest, such as Southern California. We have the capability of shipping faster both domestically and internationally, but it is expensive. So if you’re late, give us a call or send an email, we’ll work up a shipping quote for you using faster methods. For domestic orders you could order as late as the 23rd and get next day delivery – if you’re willing to pay for it, and for international probably the 18th or 19th would be the hard limit, again if you’re willing to pay for it.

King Robert Baratheon’s Warhammer will go on sale tommorow, November 12th, at 12 noon US eastern time. This is a preorder, the item will not ship until Spring 2012. It will not make it in time for Christmas.

Remember on non-damascus editions we do not allow people to pick numbers, so there is no use requesting one. The earliest orders we do try to get lower numbers for (and we try to get the very first dozen or so orders the very lowest numbers, including #1 to the first person), but we do not guarantee any particular number.

Shipping costs worldwide are about $5 more than they were for Ice.

This is pretty sweet. The Big Bang Theory is a very popular comedy on CBS, millions and millions of viewers, one of the top shows on TV. Also critically acclaimed, if you watched Peter Dinklage win his Game of Thrones Emmy for Best Supporting Actor you saw the actor who plays Sheldon in this show win Best Actor (in a Comedy) as well.

Anyways… so we find out today that they’re using Longclaw as a prop in this week’s episode. We didn’t send this sword to them (knowingly) so we just found out today through a fan’s tip. I have no idea if they will mention the sword’s name, or where it is from, or where to buy it, but the exposure alone is amazing. Can you imagine what product placement would typically cost in a show like that? And it looks like they’re going to be spending time on this sword, it isn’t merely a cereal box sitting on the counter. So we’re really excited.

Also, this hasn’t been covered anywhere so I’d mention it here. On last weeks Grey’s Anatomy on ABC they mentioned A Song of Ice and Fire. Specifically one of the doctors was compared to a certain Dothraki princess. This was a bit of a pop culture episode, there was a stampede at a comic convention, so they had other references, such as Lord of the Rings, and Star Wars. That was pretty much it. A Song of Ice and Fire (not, Game of Thrones, they used the book series title). Star Wars, and LOTR. Pretty good company to keep. Westeros is everywhere. Now I’m waiting for Community on NBC to do a themed episode.

Anyways, here are the pictures from the Big Bang Theory:

The auction for # 001/250 of the Damascus Ice limited edition is now up on eBay here. Bid early and often. It is recommended that you also buy the sword through our site, in case you bid and do not win the auction, that way you have on to fall back on. In the case you do win we can just change your order and bill you the difference between the normal price and wherever the auction ends up.

The Damascus version of Ice will go on sale October 1st at 12 Noon Eastern US Time. There tends to be some competition for ordering these products and so we’re announcing the exact date and time in advance.

The first person ordering will get dibs on #2, the second dibs on #3, and so on. You can request a higher number than you’re order slot, but not a lower number. #1 will be auctioned on eBay soon. If you plan on bidding in the auction we still recommend purchasing a sword in this release, if you win the auction you we will then just switch your number to #1. If you do not win the auction you would still have a fall back though.

The order page is up now so you can view pictures and product information. But it isn’t able to be ordered from yet.
