Widow's Wail Damascus

Widow's Wail Damascus

This is an official Game of Thrones® licensed product.

One of the proudest families in Westeros, the Lannister's lacked a Valyrian Steel sword of their own until Tywin Lannister melted down the Stark family sword Ice to make two new blades. The smaller of the two was given to King Joffrey as a gift for his wedding to Margaery Tyrell and named Widow's Wail. Joffrey owned Widow's Wail only long enough to name it as he perished from drinking poisoned wine the very same day. The sword sat unused until it was later taken up by Jaime Lannister.

This adult collectible is officially licensed from HBO®'s hit series Game of Thrones®. It is made of damascus steel, is a limited edition of 500 pieces and includes a certificate of authenticity and a display plaque.

The Game of Thrones® Collection is a series of collectible weapons and armor painstakingly recreated from the actual props used on HBO®’s hit fantasy epic Game of Thrones®. The officially licensed collectibles are made from the highest quality materials and have been crafted with special attention to reproduce the authentic details found on the props.

Widow's Wail Damascus #64
"I just received my Widows Wail Damascus (#64). By way of comparison, I have Robb's sword, the Catspaw dagger, Show Ice Damascus, and Show Oathkeeper Damascus. This one.....is the best one yet. Excellent balance, beautifully detailed. I think the quality is higher than in the show Oathkeeper Damascus. I highly recommend this sword. The balance is excellent, much like the Robb sword (my 2nd favorite). Ice is beautiful but almost too heavy to lift. I think I would like to cross this sword and Oathkeeper Damascus under the Lannister shield, which I might need to aquire. If you're not buying this one because you don't like Joffrey, get over yourself. Think of how awesome Jaime is, and who he might kill with it next season (his sister perhaps, who knows). Anyways, This. Sword. Is. Perfect. Well done, Valyrian Steel!"

gorgeous
"Beautiful sword, just as gorgeous if not more so than Oathkeeper. they complement each other well. the reason I give 4 stars is the price of the sword for the size of the sword. Ice, and Oathkeeper cost $700.00 and are both much bigger. Longclaw cost $600.00 at the time. and Book Oathkeeper is $500.00. there is no consistency. Just goes to show they are trying to squeeze as much money as possible from collectors. regardless, it's well made and an amazing sword. I Just think the price is wrong."

Widow's Wail Damascus
"Just got mine with number 10/500. The blade is beautiful! but for the hilt there is much to be desired. Most of it feels like plastik that's just painted. Geems are plastik. The smaller gems have glue all over. Still it doesn't take the beauty of it away. it's lightweight and feels nice in the hand. I wish the pummel was a bit heavier to make it more balanced, small stuff. Overall rating is 3½ stars. The blade if I'm really picky have some small imperfections but it isn't bothering me. Blade rating 4½. This is my second balde and I feel like the stainless steel Longclaw hilt was better made but that's a easy hilt in comparison. Still a good piece of art."

It's nice but a few details were overlooked
"I got number 53 of 500. Waited since last november when I ordered it. Customer service was really difficult to get from this company and I found Chris to be abrupt to the point it was outright rude. The certificate was bent out of shape and sword is a really nice replica but there are a few issues. Namely that it is off center on one side. The head of the lion above the jewel on the back side of the sword and the blade are off center completely. I took it to my local sword dealer who gets his stuff from here as well and he said that it's a manufacturing fault and I should probably email the company to request compensation. If I had ordered through him instead of here I would probably have been given another one or a refund if requested as he attempted to have the issue fixed. It's quite heavy and the gaps between the handle and blade are very minimal so I like that. Overall it is a very nice sword and definitely my favourite of my current collection which is now at 9 or 10. Despite the issues that I have had with all this I recommend the sword to anyone who is a fan."
