"Received my Needle a couple of months ago, and it was a magnificent piece. After Longclaw, I knew to expect a wonderfully crafted sword, and I wasn't disappointed in the slightest. It's astonishingly light to hold, and the nickel hilt and leather wrap compliment the quality of the steel. While it certainly needed a fresh oiling, the blade was in immaculate shape. It was everything that I hoped and expected it to be. Thanks again, Valyrian!"

"Just got Needle today in Canada, had it sent through USPS and arrived by Canada Post with no brokerage fees so I'd recommend avoiding UPS. Overall the sword is beautiful. Came with a lot of fingerprints on it and some minor scratches, but I'm very happy with Needle and it looks amazing hanging in my living room. Cheers Valyrian Steel on a fine product."

"Needle #0038 came in Canada yesterday. beautiful sword, excellent service from Valyrian Steel. (order shipped the day after it was placed)
I did get an outrageous 70$ brokerage fees from UPS, but my anger vanish as soon as I opened the box and saw my new sword...
As mentioned in other posts, sword's number on the certificate would have been a nice touch."

Comment: This is amazing!
"This sword is absolutely beautiful! I have Ice and now I received Needle #0573 for a graduation gift. I intend on getting the whole collection eventually. Great stuff!"

"Compared to Ice and Longclaw this sword seems a simple.
However that's where it is brilliant. A vision out of the books, it looks and feels like a kids sword.
The tiny touches are what count with this one, such as Mikens mark.
A lovely piece."

"All is fine with this sword i have #996 ..the only thing i would say is that it came pretty finger printed up ...lots of orange stain'ing..not a big deal a little mineral oil and it was fine.but i'd jump right on oil'ing up your sword...especially if you are say #2500 and its been in the box a bit....anyway collectors.....you can't just leave it in its unopened box..it will rust up FYI .again all else is good .....just my experience ..nice sword will get more."

"Needle out of the box is more impressive than I imagined it would be. It looks great, and feels nice and solid in the hands. The plaque was very nice too, and super easy to set up with the included hardware. A good value for collectors. Wish the blade had come just a bit sharper though. The realism to the book seems fair, shame they didn't model the T.V. swords after these."

Comment: Amazing! Just need a scabbard now...
"Needle no. 516 arrived today! Clearly this is now the coolest thing I own. I'm an absolute layman when it comes to reproduction weaponry so couldn't tell you the first thing about the balance or the historical realism, but it it feels very well put together indeed and that pointy end looks like it could do some serious damage. (So local burglars, beware *evil grin*)
A little on what to expect for UK customers: Valyrian Steel despatched my order on the same day and it took two weeks to cross the pond and clear customs. I had a letter from Parcelforce asking for £30 in import duties and booked redelivery on the next working day.
Thank you and keep up the good work! I'll definitely be looking out for future releases."

"At first, I wanted to order Ice, but due to the limited space in my room, I had to stick with Needle if I wanted a sword from the series. When I received it today, I was happy beyond words; it was a lot bigger than I have expected and the design / work is beautiful. The picture does it little justice. Now it definitely convinces me to start saving up for a Damascus Ice."

"Very nice sword, it was clarified that the sword is high carbon steel and not stainless as it says on the box and therefore I am very happy now!"

"Needle num 1729 came today, and I'm very happy, when your holding it, some how it seems bigger than how I imagined needle would be, little area must find it a bit heavy ;) , here is some info for those looking to order from the uk, took 11 days from date of purchase, but that might be because I rang up parcel force to get a code needed for customs payment rather than wait for a letter to be sent, customs came to £28.44 and parcel force added £8.00 on top as their fee..... Over all well worth it,"

"...also have Longclaw but Needle is by far the better. Much smaller, lighter but by far the more realistic. Waiting for Ice but can't see how it will outshine Needle"

"Having read the books many years ago and constantly checking GRRM Not a Blog for hope Dance would be done, I would lurk over to VS and check out the cool swords. Always wanted one but never quite pulled the trigger. With all the HBO show attention and a publishing date for Dance set, I decided to believe all the great reviews and make the big purchase. Needle #0581 arrived yesterday and I couldn't be more pleased! I went ahead and ordered Longclaw and Ice within the next hour and I am looking forward to Robert's Warhammer.
Thanks VS for a job well done!"

"Recieved this in the mail today #1917 along with Longclaw. This is a beautiful blade. I love everything about it, especially the wolf insignia at the base of the blade. This was a gift to my wife and she echos my praise. Well done and look forward to the next blade."

"Greetings,
I have recently got drafted to the army..and two days later had my 19th nameday.
After reading "A Game of Thrones" I got swept with a huge feeling of excitement and euphoria..The book and the series became a huge thing for me..They're the best thing that I've read..
Anyway, I recommended my cousin to read AGoT. After he finished, knowing the book meant so much to me, and that I'm a huge medieval-fantasy fan, he decided to give me a gift: THE SWORD OF ARYA STARK!
Needless to say I immediately got excited..and still am!
After being stuck at the military base for two weeks, today I came back and the sword was waiting for me..the smiles won't disappear from my face for a while now!
The sword is amazing! The weight is perfect, the build is sturdy and of high quality, the blade is sharp and strong and oh boy..the leather and the little direwolf logo..I'm speechless!
We passed the sword around the table and all agreed on its quality and beauty. A true blade. A real Needle! A genuine Valyrian steel!
The plaque is great as well! the Stark house banner is great, the wood has a sturdy feeling and the metallic knobs both look awesome and made of high quality materials..
Needless to say, George R.R Martin is like a hero to me..and the certificate with his autograph means a huge deal for me, I'm gonna frame it and hang on the wall!
The bottom line is- Valyrian Steel made a fantastic job! Everything is of high quality! and beautiful! And fits the descriptions in the books perfectly! Even the package it came in was awesome..I'm going to keep it as well :D
I think I'm the only one in my country with such an item!
By the way, mine is sword #384 :)
I want to thank Valyrian Steel for giving me the chance to possess a figment of my imagination in real life, you've made this soldier a happy man!
And the same goes to my cousin and my family! I can't thank you all enough! Now I'm off to order Ice! hehehe
Have a great day folks, and don't forget:
WINTER IS COMING!"

"I got the number 0128 today (no number on the certificate), it looks really great and is bigger and heavier then I expected. But it is my first sword, so I can't compare. I could not find any flaw. Now I only have to find a place on my wall.
For costumers in Germany, prepare to wait a while (4 weeks) and you have to get it from the "Zoll" here and pay 19% taxes on top of the price plus shipping, so I just payed 200Euro for this with everything. Hope that helps."

"Thank you so much for this amazing sword! We've Longclaw and Needle now and we've got plans to get Ice. You guys are terrific! Even after the HB0 series begins, we'll be turning to you for the definitive swords from this series!"

"I own #1923. This is a small sword, as it should be, and it is absolutely beautiful. The finishes across the board are first rate. The size actually works very well as a display in a normal sized room. The included mount looks too cheap for the sword, so I don't use it. I am very pleased and would buy again."

"Absolutely gorgeous! We also bought Longclaw and love it as well but in my opinion the clean, simple beauty of Needle makes it my favourite of the two. They look fantastic on our wall."

"Got Needle as a wedding gift from my husband(who also got a sword for his wedding gift, wish it could have been Longclaw) it's gorgeous and because I'm a historical weapons fighter I was ecstatic to find that the balance is perfect! when most decorative swords are not, this will obviously not be the case for everyone that has the pleasure of owning this sword as every sword is different and every person is different. keep up the great work I can't wait to the rest of the swords for the books...I'm already clearing wall space;)"

"I recently gave this to my girlfriend (who's favorite character is Arya) as a gift, and she absolutely loves it! She wasted no time opening it and practicing her "needlework" on the cardboard shipping box. The sword itself looks great. Smaller than I thought it would be, but the sword is designed for a pre-teen girl. The sword itself well made, looks, and feels great. I can't wait for Ice to come out!"
Jun 25 2010, 15:14 PMby Dan
"Just got Needle! Customs took forever to process it, but eventually it's here. Aesthetically it is flawless, and the proportions are perfect. The balance is off, but then as it is decorative one can't complain, can she? ;)
All in all, very beautiful object, fast shipping, and highly satusfactory packaging.
Looking forward to Oathkeeper...a girl can dream."

"I just got the sword in the mail (0099/2500). It shipped very quickly, came in quickly, and I opened it quickly. It looks just like it was supposed to, and it amazingly beautiful. I put it back in the box until I can move to a place where I can mount it, but it does look great. Well, well worth the money. Next paycheck, I get Longclaw"

"Finally received Needle (#0034):
The box itself convince you it's a quality product. Everything is inside for the blade to be protected and displayed.
The blade itself looks great, I love the grip with leather.
My 5 year old could carry it so I'm sure Arya could wield it without problem.
I think the hilt might be a bit broad and the grip itself more fitting to a man's hand than little girl's one (could be a little bit smaller) but that's nitpicking because it really looks great and I can't wait to hook it proudly on the wall.

"I received my Needle (#0070) today, and I have to say I was even more pleased with it than I had hoped to be. Very well made piece. It looks great hanging on the wall, but it will be that much sweeter when a Damascus Longclaw is hanging beside it!! Keep up the good work!
PS... I'd also like to point out how appreciative I am that Valyrian Steel takes so much care in packaging and shipping their goods. Nothing worse than receiving something in the mail that has been beaten up and damaged. Needle arrived in perfect condition!!"

"I am the happy owner of Needle (number 0045, proving they hold true to their random shipping as I have an APO address overseas).
The sword itself while small has excellent quality and even pretty good balance for a decarative item. My only complaint is that the sword had some minor marks on the blade and I had to use a metal polish to get them off, glass cleaner wouldn't do it. Other than that minor gripe I'm quite pleased to have this sword sitting in the center of my living room with Longclaw to the right and an empty space for Ice."

"It's not just the craftsmanship and detail that went into the blade - which is superb. It is the way Valyrian Steel managed to realize the story, the imaginings, the very words written down by Martin himself and give them true form. Like a play being performed at its best, these swords truly represent what Martin wanted us to see from his universe. Thanks for such phenomenal work!"
Jan 25 2010, 14:43 PMby Tony D.
"What a great sword! The details in the handle are very well done and I love the wolf stamp, that would be there from the castle's blacksmith. All around a great product and worthy of anyone collection."

Comment: "Can I have somemore please"
"My 21 year old daughter (at 5' 2") has decided that Needle belongs in her room. I don't go in her room as a rule, but now I most certainly will not. That means I will need another Needle for my collection. Thank you George for such a wonderful journey!

Once again, Valyrian Steel does it!
"After receiving Longclaw and seeing the quality there, I had high hopes for Needle. I was definitely NOT disappointed! Needle is almost exactly what I had envisioned when reading the books. Yes, the certificate is unnumbered, but this review is about the sword, and as far as I'm concerned, it's flawless.
Looking forward to the next offerings in the series, and I know I have nothing to worry about when it comes to details. Thanks for the hard work you guys are putting into these swords!"

"Tiny, as expected. Would've been nice if the signed certificate were numbered (mine was #1520 on the outside of the box).
I'm going to use it to sabre open champagne. (Longclaw wasn't so good for that.)
Love the handle."

"Exellent work Guy's
Love this sword.
I love Longclaw as well, even more than needle, but can't afford the shipping costs as I live in Australia.
Will definately purchase needle though."
